November 11th-16th
Retreat at Camp Ocean Pines with the Central Coast Weavers
From Bev Ryan:
“I would like to encourage attendance at this retreat. Those of us who have gone always have a good time, and the Santa Barbara guild is underrepresented! The more you think you can’t get away, the more you need a retreat!
“Cabins with real mattresses are provided (bring your own bedding or a sleeping bag). The food is good. All you have to do is relax, chat a little, knit a little, spin a little, take a walk, maybe hike down to the beach, or drive into Cambria, stop in at Ball & Skein yarn shop. Some even bring small looms. Lovely ocean view, and sometimes the most glorious sunsets.”
Official Announcement: Bring your spinning, weaving, beading, knitting, books, or camera to just relax and let someone else do the cooking. Bring a new member of your guild or an old friend. This year the cost for the weekend room and board is $160, Friday afternoon through Sunday breakfast. Please reserve your spot with a check payable to Central Coast Weavers as soon as possible.
A list of optional activities and what to bring will be sent out to all participants later in the summer. If you have an idea for a simple project or want to lead and activity please let me know.
